I don't have to say much as I am sure many of you just witnessed this unbelievable display of courage, no sense of fear, motivation and full of belief from this young 19 year old Australian, who just dumped World No 1 Rafal Nadal out of Wimbledon run in style!
He openly admitted in an interview with Guardian recently, that he gained motivaton after hearing his mother in an interview claiming that Nadal was the pre-match favourite to win. He went on to say, "I saw an interview with her saying he was too good, so that made me a bit of angry and that helped to focus!'. " I think I was in a bit of zone out there, I didn't really notice the crowd that much.
Without this sheer belief in one's convictions none of us cannot even begin to set goals to go after them and we have to zone in on our goals and keep the distractions at bay to achieve our dreams!
" You have to believe that you can win from the outset, and I always do that!" he went on to explain and the victory means he is the first player ranked outside the top 100 to beat the No 1 man since No 193 Andrei Olhovskiy defeated Jim Courier at Wimbledon in 1992.
After the match Gasquet, the 2007 semi-finalist from France, tipped his opponent to become a top-five player in the future, but Kyrgios is setting his sights even higher!
"My goal is to become the number one player in the world", he went to on to set his big goal already and every adult or especially young kids out there watching this or listening to his interview, should always set big goals and strive towards to achieve them and more.
What an amazing afternoon to witness this teenage sensation's sheer power and focus in setting the standards so high for anyone to follow on his footsteps!
